Q: How to setup family share for a newbie
We just upgraded our iphones and want to let our kids have our old ones to use on wifi, how do we set up this family share, I am not real familiar with itunes as I only use my iphone for work, email, and phone calls. Thank you ahead of time for any help.

With family sharing one person is the family organiser, that person will have to have a valid payment method (e.g. credit card) on their iTunes account as they will be taking responsibility for all of the family members purchases (a member, not an organiser, will use a balance on their account if they have one, otherwise the organiser's card will be used for their purchases).
Depending upon the children's ages you can enable 'ask to buy' so that you have to approve any new item (app, song etc) that they want to download : Request and make purchases with Ask to Buy - Apple Support
