Q: Cannot restart after El Capitan 10.11.6 update
I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) with OS X10.11.5 (15F34). When updating to 10.11.6, the restart does not happen, the update is not implemented. Finder and System Information.app are not responding. It is impossible to relaunch Finder or to kill System Information.app. I tried a hard shutdown but I come back to the same situation, even after waiting out the required time to not reopen previously running applications. How do I get out of this ?
The only application I recently installed is Express Scribe, a transcription software which I really need and am reluctant to delete or uninstall. Is there a workaround? Thank you in advance for your help.

I solved my problem after some browsing in the community. The culprit was an app starting at startup called BambooCore (for a graphic tablet). I deleted it, and Finder was live again, and I was able to Restart and finish the update to El Capitan 10.11.6.
