Q: reusing ddc-1vc on pc

recently bought a Delphi ddc-1vc pump from an old g5, I have got the pump powered up for use on a pc and flow is nice, and it's quiet really quiet but I have no tach output, I've tried changing wires round but nothing. Has anybody wired one of these with a working tach/rpm output.

Does this rpm wire only work on a mac. I have seen images where a resistor is soldered to the tach wire and fed 5v to get it to work, don't wanna try it incase I fry my pump.

thanks in advance

    Given the specialty of your inquiry and the technologies involved you may

    need to look into a specialized search and hope to find detailed options.

    https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Delphi+ddc-1vc+pump+from+PPC+G5&t=ffsb&ia=videos

    The PPC G5 is not exactly a Mac Pro, so most visitors in that area won't

    necessarily relate to the water cooled PowerMac G5 tower. But some may.

    {While looking around, I notice your inquiry in the 'overclockers UK' forum.}

    Technical questions such as this may find a few replies in ASC but going

    forward, not so likely. Perhaps someone may revisit this if placed in an

    expected area where visitors know the technologies.

    Maybe one of the PowerMac G5 tower users may relate to your inquiry.

    And a host may - or may not - relocate your question there.

    In any event...

    Good luck & happy computing!
