From OSX Terminal, please post the output of
diskutil list
diskutil cs list
I'm trying to get my Mac Pro using external hard drive to repair. The hard drive icon also doesn't display on my desktop. When I try to repair it got the below error message:
Couldn't repair partition map because a new EFI system partition couldn't be created. Do you have any ideas or am I just out of luck.

Please explain what are you trying to Repair - Windows or OS X installation? What is the year of your MacPro?
If you can boot from the external disk, can you post the output of commands I requested earlier?
