    Hey there randallfromgonzales!

Apple Music on your Mac is an exceptional extension of your iOS devices. Managing your Playlists, "For you" and genres is such a large part of Apple Music. Let's get your library customized to your specific tastes. Here are a few wonderful resources for managing your Apple Music and iTunes library from your Mac:

Refine the For You suggestions in Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC

Add music from the Apple Music catalog to your library on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC

With regards to Genres, are you looking to add different genres? Playlists and Genres are slightly different in how they hold music.

    Add songs, albums, and playlists

    On your Mac or PC

    1. In iTunes, find the song, album, or playlist that you want to add in the New or For You tabs, or search within Apple Music. You can search Apple Music from any tab except the iTunes Store.
    2. Click the More Options icon   to the right of the song or album name.
    3. Click   Add to My Music.

Songs and albums appear under My Music. Playlists appear in the sidebar of the Playlists tab under Apple Music Playlists.

These are great starting points for managing your library from the Mac.

    Happy Listening!
