Q: Someone else getting my iMessages?
Hi there, I have a somewhat confusing situation going on that I'm assuming is resolved but I just want to make sure by getting some second opinions on the matter from people that may understand this a bit better than I do. Me and two family members each have iPhones and iPads, and then I have an iMac and one of them has a Macbook Pro. We all use iMessages and e-mail to communicate with one another. Now, we all had phone numbers associated with our iPhones and consequently associated with our iCloud accounts which we had in each other's contacts across all our devices.
Recently, we moved and changed our phone numbers when we got new service carriers. Unfortunately and stupidly of me, I forgot to update any of our phone numbers on our contacts lists, as we mostly send iMessages to each other's icloud e-mail addresses, and rarely call one another, so I just forgot about it.
Then the other day, one of them thought they were sending me an iMessage, and they got a response that said it was from me of someone telling them that they didn't know who they were, and asked them to remove them from their contacts. I looked into this for them, and found out that they had accidentally sent this iMessage to my old phone number, which was still associated with my account. Since then I removed all of the old phone numbers from all of our contacts, and updated them.
Now, what I'm wondering, and what I'm concerned about is, will this person that received this erroneous iMessage receive all the messages that we've sent to one another while still having those old phone numbers associated with our accounts? Will they still receive new messages, or more importantly, do they have access to any of our old messages with one another? Also, have they in actuality been receiving all the messages that we've been sending this entire time?I wouldn't assume so since they only responded the other day, but that still doesn't tell me if they may end up getting all those messages now that they received that one the other day.
Some clarification would really help. Thank you in advance.

No, they won't see anything from your previous conversation. iMessage numbers/addresses are tied to your Apple ID. Since your old phone number is now tied to the other person's ID, they would only see messages sent to their own ID.
