I have read the very long thread on this (Multiplexing Error) and am still troubleshooting this issue.
I have successfully created DVDs previously with nothing that I can perceive different. I tried a laser lens cleaner, disconnecting all EHDs, simple reboot (safe reboot apparently does not work on my iMac?), I've tested the disk image and it always works, I even had a DVD half work. It played menu music and let me select and play one of the movies on the disc, but then when I tried to exit to menu or do anything else it just froze. I've burned at high quality and professional quality with same result. No text or menu buttons outside of safe view area. Created new iDVD project.
What I'd like to try but don't know how to do is:
1. Remove first chapter marker. Afaik there are no longer chapter markers? (iDVD version 7.1.2)
2."I tried an experiment where I removed all chapters in FCE and passed to new iDVD project." Don't know what this means or how to do it?
3. Movies in project with same aspect ratio e.g. 4x3 or 16x9. I'm actually now wondering if this might be part of the problem. I had video files given to me and I am not sure what ratio they are in, mine are mixed in with the project which are widescreen. Do I have no choice but to separate them to two disks?? How do I find out what ratio they are?
4. Lastly I still need to try some Verbatim discs as mine are all Memorex.
