Video stops playing right after transition

I want to embed a video into Keynote slide so that the video will begin playing right after the transition to the video slide. When I play the presentation and advance to the video slide, it plays for about 1 second then stops and the presentation drops back into the authoring mode. I have tried different video clips and they all do the same.
