Mac mini 4k tv display problems

I have a Mac Mini Late 2014 2.g GHZ Intel running el capitan. I have an LG 4k tv and whenever I try to use the Mac mini HDMI connection at 3840x 2160 30HZ the screen starts showing loud interference occasionally snowing and continuously blinking. Please help me solve this.
