Q: What is an equivalent to the Intel Iris 1536 mb?

Hi all,

I'm new to this kind of stuff and I did a ton of online research but got really confused on what the Iris Intel 1536 is. I don't know if it's just an unpopular graphic card but its not mentioned heavily in any forums online. A lot of the Intel Iris I see are Iris 6100 or 540. I am just curious on where my Intel Iris stands amongst the most common cards?

I have a Late-2013 Macbook Pro, 2.4 Intel Core i5, Intel Iris 1536 mb graphics.

Any advice or help is much appreciated!

The original IRIS graphics, which your MBP has, was the start of a large line of integrated graphics systems by Intel. The 1536Mb simply refers to the maximum amount of shared system RAM the graphics system will use as needed.

Most current laptops will be using a newer iteration of the IRIS line. In terms of graphics systems evolution, three years is not ancient, but it is certainly quite old.
