Q: OS9 - Restore system HD from .img file

Well, I have an old G4 400mhz. Wanted to start it after years but...broken HD (a 30gb one). Fortunately years ago, before putting my G4 at rest, I made an image of the HD with OS9 Drive Setup Utility. I then put a working HD (60gb) in the machine and was about to start it to restore the system from the .img file when...I realize I don't know how to do it!!!

After years of OSX I totally forgot OS9 procedures!!!

Can anyone help me?

Restart the computer from a Mac OS 9 install CD or drive, mount the image, drag-copy its contents to the internal drive, open the System Folder there, and close it. If the disk image was scanned for Apple Software Restore, you can use that instead.

Tx for the answer Niel. Just a question.  I've restarted from OS 9 install CD. I put the .img file in a USB pen. I can now acces the image opening the USB pen icon in the finder. I don't get how to use ASR. If I launch it from the restore CD I can only see the image in the CD (called" Power Mac G4 HD.img")
