Q: Facetime on Macbook Air

I bought my Macbook Air in Dubai last month. Now i have shifted permanently to India. Whenever I try to log into Facetime it doesn't seem to connect. Any suggestions how to get it started? TIA

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

    Hello Soniaasks,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding you're unable to connect to FaceTime on a MacBook Air purchased in Dubai. I am happy to hep.

FaceTime isn't available or may not appear on devices purchased from Dubai. Even though your currently located in India, you'll be unable to use FaceTime as it was originally purchased in an area that doesn't offer this feature. Here's some additional information:

Get help if you can't make or receive FaceTime calls

    Have a great day!

    Hi Johann,

Thanks for the information. Is there any other way I can get to use FaceTime now that I don't live there anymore.

    Yes.

Sell your MacBook Air and purchase one in India.  Be sure to let the buyer know you purchased the MacBook Air you're selling in Dubai, so that buyer knows the machine can never support FaceTime.
