Airport Extreme output seems slow

I have the latest version Airport Extreme. I completed a speed test directly from my cable modem and it shows a download speed of 750MBps. When my Airport Extreme is connected my typical best speed is 30 MBps (the test is completed on my iPhone 6+ and in the same room as the router). Perhaps I have something configured incorrectly or connected incorrectly. Can anyone shed light on this subject?

Hmm, that would be interesting except that the tested WAN-LAN interface "speed" of the latest 802.11ac Extremes is about half of that ... so I'm not sure what you are using to test speed.

Regardless, wired connections will always offer better bandwidth than wireless ... at least, for the foreseeable future.

Which leads us to why your wireless performance is so poor. Typically, it is due to some form of Wi-Fi interference in the area that is preventing your MBP from getting a 'clean' signal.

... and if Wi-Fi interference is not the issue, then it may be possible that your base station may be failing. I suggest that you check for interference first. If you determine that this is not the case, then I would further suggest that you perform a "factory default" reset on the base station, and then, set it back up again for your networking requirements.
