Aug 2, 2016 4:11 PM in response to koopman13by Tesserax,Ok, thank you! I just wanted to make sure that the Hitron was just a simple modem and not a combination modem & router or gateway device.
At this point, I would suggest that you perform a complete power recycle of your networking hardware to see if this will get them running properly again. Please post back your results.

Aug 2, 2016 4:32 PM in response to koopman13by Tesserax,Hmm, that would be interesting except that the tested WAN-LAN interface "speed" of the latest 802.11ac Extremes is about half of that ... so I'm not sure what you are using to test speed.
Regardless, wired connections will always offer better bandwidth than wireless ... at least, for the foreseeable future.
Which leads us to why your wireless performance is so poor. Typically, it is due to some form of Wi-Fi interference in the area that is preventing your MBP from getting a 'clean' signal.
... and if Wi-Fi interference is not the issue, then it may be possible that your base station may be failing. I suggest that you check for interference first. If you determine that this is not the case, then I would further suggest that you perform a "factory default" reset on the base station, and then, set it back up again for your networking requirements.
