There are some discussions about iBooks and battery drain so I will get to the point, iBooks was draining battery too much since the day I got my brand new ipad air and since then many ios updates were released but nothing changed, so it's NOT hardware and it's NOT a software issue other than the app Itself. I can easily say iBooks drains battery around, if not less than, three times more than Pokemon GO, WHICH IS A BATTERY KILLER GAME. And this doesn't differ in reading epub or pdf, as long as ibooks is open the juice is flowing away. Even there is no other app is open on background ipad goes on fire when on ibooks. And there are people claiming reading same material on other reading apps drains significantly much less battery.
I am actually quite surprised why this issue hasn't been addressed so far (I mean I am personally experiencing this issue for a year now). Please someone explain me technically what is going on on background when the device is merely showing a few bytes of text data on the screen.
