I have an infrared camera which captures 30 sec. videos in the .AVI format. I am able to to import and play-back these .AVI video files just fine on my iMac and iPad. (imported into Photos on iMac)
However, I these .AVI files will NOT play on my iPhone.
Any tips on:
1.) How to play an AVI file on iPhone?
or
2.) How to convert .AVI to .MOV or some other format which is iPhone compatible?

I'm a registered user of GraphicConverter. I contacted them and they directed me to use Handshake (Wondershare) software to convert .AVI files to an iPhone compatible file such as .MOV.

Use the QuickTime Player or MPEG Streamclip to convert them. You may be asked to install Perian or another component.

I tried using QuickTime but it did not offer an iPhone (anything after iPhone 4) compatible export format.
Did I miss something?
