Aug 3, 2016 12:14 AM in response to drbradleyhby King_Penguin,Haven't seen not specifically about purchasing a gift cards (there are regular posts about apps or in-app purchases). If you still have the email you could forward it to Apple : reportphishing@apple.com , and then delete it.
