I see from your screenshot that iMovies is indeed stuck updating. I'll be more than glad to help get it updated. I'll avoid the steps you've reported trying but if I repeat anything you haven't listed, feel free to skip.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Never underestimate the power of a good restart.
If iMovie still isn't updating and the icon is still visible, then on your iPhone tap Settings > iTunes & App Store, tap your ID and select "Sign Out". Restart your iPhone again and see if the download icon has disappeared. If it has, sign back into iTunes & App Store and update iMovies again.Hope this helps!
