Forgot the iPod Nano replacement procedure

Hi guys,

I've just found my old iPod Nano which died years ago. I want to put it through the replacement process.

However, when I start it it says that I have put the Serial Number in before. Entirely plausible, but what do I do now?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hello there, samuelgdrowley!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are needing to get your iPod Nano taken care of. I know how important it is to be able to get the iPod taken care of as quickly as possible. If you can't find the serial number, check out this article: Find the serial number of your iPod.

On the back of your iPod

Depending on the model of your iPod, the serial number is either engraved on the back case or is on or below the clip. The images below show examples.

iPod classic, iPod nano, and iPod touch

Engraved on the back case toward the bottom.

Thanks for the response but unfortunately I think you missed my point.

A few years ago I started the Nano replacement process as I believe my first generation Nano was faulty. (link here > https://www.apple.com/support/ipodnano_replacement/)

However, since then I've not had any information regarding what to do! I've input my serial number but it says it's been entered before but doesn't give me anymore information.
