Q: I have Bose AE2W and I can't listen to them with my NEW macbook because its so choppy.

Device - Macbook Pro (Retina 13-inch Early 2015) running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.

Why is it so choppy when I hook up bluetooth audio devices?I have Bose AE2W and I can't listen to them with my NEW macbook because its so choppy. The same choppiness with me bluetooth speakers as well. I looked online and its a common problem, is apple aware of this issue? Is this something they can and going tofix in the next update?

I would contact Bose. There are numerous posts from people having problems with Bose devices.

It is not up to Apple to make third party devices work with OS X or iOS. Manufacturers have significant lead time with new software releases before general release.

It is up to Apple when its a common problem with multiple headphone companies. Those are my primary headphones but I have the same issue with other headphones I own. Its not the headphones its the computer, if every bluetooth audio device is choppy including including my sony headphones then it would be the computer. Also if you do a google search Im not the only one with the problem of audio devices being choppy while connected to a macbook.

For other people, I contacted Apple Support Chat and they said it was not normal, they helped me isolate the issue and fix it. They were very helpful and I would recommend talking to Apple Support for your "third party devices"
