How to start creating advanced plugins for FCPX?

I searched about advanced plugins or how to work with 3d to create a plugin for final cut but no hope all the results about existing plugins.


I don't know if there's a community or tutorials to start with FCPX advanced plugins.

Some say, some of my plugins, for instance SCRBBL (contains 3D) is advanced, I wouldn't say so...

I learned my skills by

• reading the Manual

• asking silly questions here at ASC and at fcp.co

• reading books, a classic "How To Cheat In Motion"

• watching tutorials from rippletraining, f.mahoney, Simon Ubsdall, to mention the best

• finally purchasing some tuts from rippletraing


... the real stuff asks for understanding the pluginSDK from Apple (needs free registering as 'Developer') which would allow to do add own paint routines, math, logical operators, designing own UI elements = programming


... imho, that would be advanced plugin making = beyond me 😉
