Q: Midi keyboard input off by semitone (MainStage 3/Oxygen 49 gray)

Having an issue where my midi controller (M-Audio Oxygen 49 gray version) is being read by MainStage 3(3.2.4) one half-step off(C3 displays and sounds as B2, D3 as C#3, etc.).

13" MBP running 10.10.5, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 128 GB solid state

MS "Transpose Patch" function is set to 0

Tuning is at 440

Sample rate at 44.1

This happened suddenly and applies to all saved concerts as well as newly opened blank concerts. Musical typing is reading correctly. The keyboard has no hardware to adjust tuning or sample rate. It functioned fine up to this point. Any help is greatly appreciated!

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Do you have another audio app running? That's happened before when I opened Logic, which was set at a different sample rate. Try closing all apps, reopen MainStage, and if the the problem persists, open MS preferences and change the sample rate.

Thanks, lifenoise. Just tried what you said and still experiencing the same problem. Also closed all apps and restarted the computer. Nothing. Tried changing sample rate in Logic and stream quality in Spotify. Nothing. I guess my next step will be to reach out to a friend and try their midi keyboard and see if the same thing happens. If anyone has other suggestions, I'm all ears.

Resolved. After reading through the keyboard manual, I discovered the octave shift buttons have a secondary function that acts as a transpose feature that adjusts in semitones when both octave buttons are pressed simultaneously. I wasn't aware of this. Rookie mistake.

    Hello 32 Bars,

What audio interface are you using? I had the same problem with my Edirol FA101 when I changed the sample rate from 41K to 48K or vise-versa. Please check Audio MIDI setup utility located in your Mac applications folder to see if the sample rate is set to your desired rate. Reset and try again.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you, rexxsoul. Turns out it was it was an issue with the hardware as stated above. User error
