Q: of a sudden /cores dir filling automatically in all mac's

Below are the things have done which i found huge size in /cores even after which my profile gets flickered, but in the same machine have another profile which is OK, how to get ride of the flickering issue

Below are the things done from the terminal(root)

du -sh *

ls -l cores/

rm -f cores/*

sysctl kern.coredump          (checked it says 1)

sysctl -w kern.coredump=0 (changed to 0)

sysctl kern.coredump           (rechecked changed or not it was success)

/etc/sysctl.conf                                          (sysctl.conf file not available return the file with the below setp)

kern.coredump=0

Need badly fix for the flickering issue and if i try to open any on the dock it quits immediate effect. Urgent fix need
