Q: iTunes 12.4 Song Order

When I open iTunes, select artist, scroll to the artist I want and double click a song by that artist. The song plays and then jumps to a random song in the artist. I was expecting it to play the next song from that cd. Random is not turned on, how do I disable this “feature” and have iTunes behave the way it has? Or is this "feature" going to stay?

    Hey there Josh VDW!

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities for assistance with your iTunes concerns. So you open an artist's name, select a tune and when the song ends, the next song is completely random. Let's get this turned around for you, so you can enjoy songs in a logical order! I know you had mentioned that random was turned off. Let's confirm "Shuffle" as well. Click "Controls" in your menu bar and hover over "Shuffle" to ensure it's set to Off. If you don't see your menu bar:

Turn on the menu bar in iTunes for Windows

If this is only happening with one artist, we may need to rebuild that artist. Start with a backup of your iTunes library:

Manage and back up your iTunes media library

Once you've backed up, then you can remove items from that artist and re-import the CDs or download the purchases again.

    Have a phenomenal day!
