6 sec fade in with a jpg logo.

I am attempting to do a 6 sec fade in with a jpg logo. The frame is 10 seconds induration but can't get a smooth gradual 6 second fade in. The transition says it is 6 seconds in duration but the fade is like two seconds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

A jpeg image has no transparency so as you fade it in, it will completely cover the underlying image.

If you are just applying a dissolve between a clip and the jpeg on the timeline, the dissolve is split between the two layers so, yes, the jpeg may appear to dominate very quickly. You can manipulate the transparency of the jpeg separately from the base clip if you place the jpeg above the timeline. You can control the fade by applying a dissolve transition or by animating the transparency of the jpeg using keyframes or the transparency nubbin.
