Q: Email not automatically checking

all of a sudden my emails are not coming through automatically. I have an exchange, gmail and yahoo accounts. None work in the iOS email app unless i go into the app and check. This started around July 20th. I wonder if this is to force the upgrade to 9.3.3. Has anyone come across this and figured out how to resolve. I don't want to have to reset my whole phone. Thanks.

I have experienced the same problem with the Mail app on iOS 9.3.4 on my iPhone 6. Since the upgrade (around July 20), I no longer get notifications from Mail regarding new emails. Instead, I have to open the app and refresh it, which then pulls in the new mail messages and displays them. I have changed its settings from Push to Fetch, but no change in behavior. I have deleted the email account (Yahoo) from the phone, rebooted the phone, then added the account again. Still no change in behavior; the problem remains. When at home I almost have to have the volume on the iMac turned up to hear the "new mail notification" from the Apple Mail app to know that I have new email. Very frustrating. Apple, your good folks messed up on this one as well. With respect, please address and fix!

I Wish Apple could or would see these discussions so they would fix this stuff without having to call them and go through all the troubleshooting we've already done. Very frustrating.  I moved to iPhone because I heard how great their support was.
