Playhead jumping

I am editing a title:

• I double click on the title in the primary storyline
• The playhead jumps to the right beyond the end of the title
• I can edit the text in the Inspector window
• But the title itself isn't displayed, as the playhead is beyond it

I've tried turning off skimming, and manually moving the playhead, but this annoying behaviour keeps happening.

Anyone else seen this? Bill.
