Connecting to Windows server 2008 OS X kicks me out of A-F files

I have all of my artwork for the company stored on a Windows Server 2008 PC. I have three iMacs running OS X 10.11.5. We have a Jobs folder that has all of our art in alphabetical order by customer name. Well, randomly, OS X kicks us out of folders that we're in. Like I'll be in Adidas folder and all of the windows that are open to that Windows server will white out for a millisecond and put me in the parent "Jobs" folder. and In the "Jobs" folder, I can only view files that start with F and down to Z. I know this is an OS X issue because it never happened when I was on 10.9.X. Only when we upgraded to 10.10 or 10.11 did this start happening. NOW while I'm looking at the "Jobs" folder with only F-Z showing, I can create a new folder and everything pops back up. *** is going on??????? This is horribly frustrating. We connect to the drive via SMB and must connect this way.

ANY help would be appreciated.
