Bluetooth randomly drop Magic Keyboard & Magic Trackpad2

Hi all,

I'm getting random instances where Bluetooth on an iMac will randomly drop both the Magic Keyboard & Magic Trackpad2 at the same time!

Bluetooth still shows as active, but I've found hardwiring the trackpad to disable and re-enable Bluetooth means that both peripherals are instantly rediscovered.

Anyone else had this?

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Might be corrupted Bluetooth preferences ...

Open the Finder.

From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Then copy and paste the following:

/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist

Click Go then move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.

You may need to re pair your mouse and keyboard. Help here > Set up your Apple wireless devices - Apple Support

If that didn't help, might be something in this support article to help you > If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad aren't working as expected - Apple Support
