Q: since updating to 12.4.3, iphone doesn't sync

Since updating to 12.4.3 my iphone 6 does not sync. I've run diagnostics and it says it doesn't detect an iphone. My phone otherwise charges normally when plugged in and photos can be uploaded. Any suggestions?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.3
