garmin 230 and iphone 4
Hi, I have a garmin 230 and a Iphone 4 that don't support ios 8.0
I can't use bluetooth low energy and so the devices don't talk each other
Suggestions are welcome, apart from buying a new mobile

Your devices are not compatible.
I'm afraid that you would need to upgrade your iPhone to a model that supports Bluetooth 4 or later.
