Q: Text Message Forwarding
I'd like to set up my phone to be able to forward messages in Messages. I'm pretty sure I'm signed in to all the accounts that I'm supposed to be signed in to. In settings for Messages on my iPhone, I go to Text Message Forwarding, and my Macbook Pro is listed. When I turn on the slider for iPhone, it asks me to enter the code shown on my iPhone, but there is no code to enter.

The code will come to your MBP, and you then enter it into the phone (shows you have control of both devices you are trying to link). See Use Continuity to connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac - Apple Support
