I would strongly discourage purchasing anything from MacMall, if you check their reseller rating ranking they are 2.78 out of 10 which usually means they resort to bait-and-switch tactics that are 'too good to be true'. Often time companies like this send you the wrong/incomplete products that are nearly impossible to return.

I got my macbook pro from macmall.

The price was great!! The shipping was fine. The issue is that after I orderd it I decided I wanted a better machine. I received my computer I did not even open the box. I tried to call them to get an RMA and they said they will not take back any apple products.NO MATTER WHAT.

As I sadi mine was unopened.

I ended up keeping it and I love it.

Most US retailers have an obligation (I believe a legal one at that, could a lawyer step in here?) to allow returns if the product is unopened within 14-30 days.

The fact that they refused only makes me further question their business practices. I think this only further supports that no one should buy from them.

I imagine that complainers tend to be more vocal than satisfied customers on review sites in general, but it's also interesting to compare ratings with other Mac vendors:

Its pretty dead on. When you see a company in the 2-3s there are usually many long stories about how bad they are. Its how I often find and check scam sites quickly. After the seeing the score I didn't even need to read the reviews (although I did for fun) to get an idea of what they did. Usually a 6-8 is average for most sites.

You just have to read past the idiots complaining about there package being delayed 1-2 days and get to the people who were sent the wrong item and a refusal to return it.

In fact, one time I posted a bad review of newegg because they had screwed up my order and within about 2 hours I had a newegg customer service rep on the phone with me offering me whatever he could to resolve the issue, so some companies do actually strive for good service.

I and my parents have used MacMall almost exclusively for our Mac purchases for several years and have NEVER been disappointed with their service or shipping practices.

My last purchase was an iMac in September. Prior to that, four iMacs, an iBook and a PowerBook... along w/ printers and accessories too numerous to list.

I don't doubt that some folks will have experienced problems... but that has never been the case with me.

Do check w/ them regarding their return policy.
