Audio popping at edit points

Hi

I know this issue has been addressed before but it would seem that other than placing a short dissolve between the 2 clips, is there a setting to eliminate the audio clicking I get at every edit point? I have tried changing the audio sampling rate but it happens no matter what. I understand this is a sine wave issue, so maybe that would explain occasionally it happening, but its literally happening almost at every cut ...a noticeable click (regardless of the content) at the edit points, which I find distracting. Even when playing the timeline through, the timeline will 'click" right at the end .
