Missing Whatsapp Icon Iphone 6s

I have been reading about other posts on this matter and tried everything indicated but with no success.


Basically I installed Whatsapp (new phone), used it a bit, returned an the icon is no longer where I placed it. When I go into AppStore it shows as a purchased item with an "open" button. When I open it, nothing happens.


I have done the reset, restore options as indicated by others with a few other tricks as well. I have had no success.


Can anyone shed light on this problem

Hi dewitc,


Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. From your post I see that you are missing the WhatsApp icon from your iPhone. I use specific apps all the time and I depend on them being on my iPhone. I will be happy to help you with this. On your iPhone, please go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage (under the Storage section), find WhatsApp listed there and delete it. Then go to the App Store and see if you are now able to download it again.
If you are still having issues, and backup and restore as new iPhone has been completed, then please try to download a different app. If that app is able to download without issue, then you will want to reach out to the WhatsApp support team at: WhatsApp :: Contact
