Q: No service

After unlocking my iPhone 6 from one carrier I get no service.

I've tried everything from reseting the network settings to putting the phone in recovery mode and reseting it but it wont work.

What can I do?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.3

How did you unlock it from the carrier?

Do you have a sim card inserted? If so, is it functional? Does it have active service on it?

What does that mean?  What exactly did you do to unlock it? What steps did you follow?

    What carrier was it?

Have you restored the iPhone in iTunes at all?

How to unlock your iPhone for use with another carrier - Apple Support

One of the steps is to restore.

The carrier is 3 (Sweden). On their website when you want to unlock your device you put in your IMEI number and then you syncronize it with itunes, so that is what I did.

    I have also restored it.

I know it is unlocked becausr it said that when I syncronized it with itunes.

Yes, it should be unlocked then if you got the message after restoring on iTunes.

Have you talked to the carrier for the sim you are using about it?

It would seem the sim card may not be correctly provisioned for an iPhone.

If you don't get an "Invalid" sim error it means it was successfully unlocked and should work.

Can you test with another sim card in the phone and see if it works?

I have not talked to my carriers support thats the only thing I havent done. But I had this sim card in another iPhone and it worked fine in that one.

Yes I have tried with another sim card and it didnt work.

It is not stuck on "searching" it just says "No Service".

You need to try a different sim card on your device just to isolate if it is a sim card issue or the phone. If the issue persisted after restoring the phone, and you used a different sim card with the same network, then you may need to contact Apple for further diagnosis.

Then short of trying a different sim card in the iPhone, the next step is to take it in to Apple for diagnosis. Something may have developed a fault at needs to be looked at.

Trying a different sim card will tell you more conclusively whether the issue is with the iPhone itself or not. If a different card works, then something may be wrong with the sim. If it doesn't then the issue is with the iPhone.

You can borrow one that is sized correctly just to check.

Since you are not getting any "Invalid Sim" error, that suggests the unlocking procedure completed correctly and you can dismiss that as the issue.

I have not tried a sim card from the carrier I unlocked it from and it gives me service. But as soon as I put in a sim card from an other carrier it gives me "no service" again.

Is the next step taking it to Apple?

If you have not tried it, try it. If you have and it gives you service, then the issue may be specifically the sim card.

Otherwise, yes, the next step is to take it to Apple with both sim cards.  So they can test.
