Q: username change

I would like to change my username in my profile for Support Communities.  Is it possible?  If so, how?  If not, can I somehow delete my profile and create a new one?

I have alerted our gracious Hosts - only they can edit your ASC username

They have contacted me, thank you.  How did you contact them?

You're welcome. I see it is still a "work in progress", as your username remains unchanged (if my old man's memory serves)

Mission accomplished while I was crafting this!

When you earn enough helping points to reach Level 2 status (150 points), you will be rewarded with the perquisite of "Reporting" posts and threads. You will NEVER be able to report you own post/thread, however. One of the "menu items" presented in the reporting panel that pops up is "Username or Profile Issue".

as an aside... the Apple policy of offering one a suggested username when your first choice is already taken of

firstnamefromcityname (from what you have already entered in the registration process) has caused many folks to complain that they never agreed to the choice. I cannot imagine this being forced upon one, but folks have claimed that this was the case so many times that I must conclude that it may be true - computerized systems have long been known to have "bugs"

Thanks again.  I have yet to gain any helping points as I don't feel like much of an expert but I have received lots of excellent help from people in the Support Community.  Hopefully I'll help someone some day soon!

    You're welcome(again)

You have gained some points - apparently for mere participation in the communities of some desktop and iLife.

As you gain experience in particular areas of interest, you may find that you will find opportunities to be of specific help.

I recommend hanging out in those areas to get a feel for "how it all works". Remember that it is a requirement that any help advice that you offer must be recently tested
