Aug 5, 2016 4:50 PM in response to Gegeoby Tesserax,★HelpfulPotentially yes. Is your goal to use the Time Capsule to backup or clone your MacBook Pro's Macintosh HD? For the former you would just use Time Machine. For the later you can use third-party utilities, like Carbon Copy Cloner or Data Backup to name a few.
Regardless of which utility you use it can work with the Time Capsule as a backup destination.

The TC must connect to your computer by network.. ie ethernet or wireless.
The best is of course ethernet but if your laptop lacks this most important port as Apple has dropped it in most of the current lineup.. buy a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter.. cheap and fast.
The issue of course is how you can integrate the TC into your existing network.. that is still the best way to use it but with a bit of skill the TC can be stand alone.
I strongly recommend integrated.. so plug the TC into your existing router by ethernet. Setup the TC in bridge mode and create a wireless network. Use an ethernet cable or wireless connection then from the laptop direct to the TC.. you will get both internet and backup via the one connection.
