Q: Dialog boxes in Safari 6.2.8 won't stop rolling horizontally

I just update my iMac 2008 to Safari 6.2.8.  Now, when I open dialog boxes  (to enter passwords, upload photos to Walgreens, or post to Facebook), the screen keep rolling horizontally and won't stop for me to do anything.  Is this an extension issue?  (I see something initializing in the background as the screen loads.)

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), Safari 6.2.8

The issues is the your Mac is running an outdated OS X Mountain Lion and outdated version of Safari 6.2.8.

An alternative would be to use the Firefox browser. Download help here > https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

Another alternative would be to upgrade your Mac to new newest OS X El Capitan. That would install Safari 9.1.2, the latest version available. With that you could upload photos to Walgreens and Facebook.

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items.  Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Reset Safari. The down side is it clears all cookies. Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site. In Finder hold down the option/alt key while selecting the Go menu item. Select Library. Then Library./Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db and move it to the trash.

Go to Safari Preferences/Extensions and turn all extensions off. Test. If okay, turn the extensions on one by one until you figure out what extension is causing the problem.
