disable outlook-style "request responses"

I use Mail/Calendar in an Exchange environment. That's working great, but there's one Outlook-specific option I'm not finding. Can I create an event with the equivalent of these two options "Request Responses" and "Allow New Time Proposals" disabled? Specifically "Request responses"; this creates a flood of extra notifications for meeting participants.
