I have a new AppleTV (A1625) bought it back 8 or 9 months ago. Since then it has worked flawlessly.
A few weeks ago my HDD died on my Late 2011 MBP. I replaced the HDD and installed new OS X El Captain.
I haven't tried my AppleTV till today. No matter what I do I can not connect via the MBP. However, I can connect via my iPhone 6s.
So far, I have tried re-install of iTunes latest version; I've updated the AppleTV to latest version 9.2.2 (13Y825); I have turned off the firewall-rebooted; I've tried the recommended settings on the firewall (allow all incoming/automatically allow all signed)- rebooted; I've toggled Airplay off and back on; I've tested with my iPhone 6s and it works fine; Cycled power on AppleTV, MBP, router; turned off and back on homesharing...
I'm out of ideas...Any help would be greatly appreciated!
