Is sideloading safe?
Can downloading apps from websites be harmful to my device? If so, can i get rid of the virus by simply deleting the app?
Any form of jail breaking is very dangerous and no help can be given here to those that do have problems.

Yes. Downloading from anywhere else but the App Store in iTunes can be dangerous no matter what they claim at the site.
