Do I need to back up my 6s on both iCloud and computer ?

Do I need to back up my iPhone 6s to both my computer and iCloud before I purchase iPhone 7s to insure photos and apps are restored on the new 7s.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Computor Windows 7

Need to, probably not. One backup should suffice.

That said, within reason, there's no such thing as too many backups.

All you'll lose is some time doing the backups.

You don't "need" to, but it's always a good idea to have backups in multiple locations. If you backup to iTunes, to preserve personal information, make sure it's an an Encrypted backup

More importantly...

You need to import your photos to your computer and sync your music to iTunes. Backups include only images in your Camera Roll.
