    I understand from your post that you would like to move your photos and music to iCloud storage. I understand wanting to take advantage of the different features of iCloud. For your photos I recommend using the iCloud Photo Library. This article has information about using iCloud Photo Library:

    To store your music in iCloud, I recommend looking into iTunes Match. Information about iTunes Match can be found here:

    You can move the items there to sync, but you can't delete them from your computer/device. iCloud is a syncing system, not an external 'hard drive'. If you delete them on your device, they will delete from iCloud.
