Q: Photos Titles disappear right before my eyes using Yosemite

I think myself and others are experiencing the same issue with Photos (because I see similar issues happening in other posts.) I am looking at an album of my photos, and I begin typing titles for each picture, as I have done for years. All is well until i decide to delete one photo from the album, and the rest of the photos get rearranged. Then titles start disappearing. So I retype the titles i JUST typed, and all seems well. Then I delete another photo, and Boom, titles disappear.

Using Yosemite, not ready to go El Capitan. I mention this because I hope that is not the answer. Using Photos Version 1.0.1 (215.65.0).

I have already done the "Rebuild" or "Repair" library thing. There are 2674 photos in my library - not that many, right?

Can Apple support folks reproduce the issue and send a fix, or is it just me? Surely it's not just me. I have 8 GB ram and 2 TB hard disk size.

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

    No

Apple is not here - this is strictly a user to user forum and you need to address Apple not other users - http://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html

But No Photos fixes are likely under Yosemite as you are six updates behind and Apple typically does not update old software - new fixes are released with new software (and their have been many and many new features in those six updates)

as to your specific issue change are that getting up to date is the fix - I have seen a few older posts about this but none recently so I expect it have been resolved in the six releases since you updated although I have never experienced it myself

So it is very likely that the only solution is to update

That was the solution, and I finally upgraded to El Capitan. It was only painful in re-setting Google Mail within the Apple Mail client. Otherwise I guess I moved on. Photo titles are saved now.

    Thanks.
