I understand that you are curious if you can use Touch ID for the iTunes Store. I know it's a nice feature to be able to quickly log into your favorite services, so I'm happy to provide some direction to help.
If you are already logged into your Apple ID under Settings > iTunes & App Store, then you can use your Touch ID to authenticate purchases and downloads through the iTunes or App Store. Check out the details here:
Use Touch ID on iPhone and iPad - Apple Support
Use Touch ID to unlock your iPhone or make purchases
After setting up Touch ID, there are two ways to unlock your device:
- Wake up your device by pressing the Home button or the Sleep/Wake button once. Then, touch your finger lightly on the Home button to unlock. If you reach the passcode-entry screen accidentally, you can still use Touch ID to unlock your device.
- Wake up your device and slide to unlock it. Then enter your passcode.
Make purchases with Touch ID
Use Touch ID instead of your Apple ID password to make purchases in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store:
- Make sure iTunes & App Store is turned on under Settings > Touch ID & Passcode. If you can't turn it on, you might need to sign in with your Apple ID in Settings > iTunes & App Store.
- Open the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store.
- Tap something to buy. You'll see a Touch ID prompt.
- To make a purchase, lightly touch the Home button.
Use Touch ID for Apple Pay
With an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus or later, you can use Touch ID to make Apple Pay purchases in stores and within apps. You can also use Touch ID for Apple Pay purchases within apps using an iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 3 or later. Start using Apple Pay.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities, cheers!
