How to properly connect your microKORG to FL Studio 12 using MIDI USB connection?

Been trying to connect my microKORG Synth to my Macbook so I could use it with FL 12, i've bought the USB MIDI adapter and have installed the USB MIDI driver but I still have no luck actually using it with FL, can someone help?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
