Q: Switching Accounts

I created a new apple ID because I forgot the password to my old account but my phone is still connected to the old account. I cannot access my messages from my phone on to my computer because of this. How can I fix this so that I'll be able to receive my messages?

MacBook Pro, iOS 9.3.3

I'm not certain you can... Have you tried the iForgot password retrieval option? Does your Apple ID have two-step authentication enabled?

You can't "switch" or "merge" accounts.
