Macbook pro 13" retina wifi issue

Hi ppl,

I'm using a Macbook Pro 13" retina - early 2015 release. The wifi signal keeps falling for some reason every few minutes (~15mins) - it goes completely Off for around 10 secs and then it comes back. Of note, other apple devices connected to the same airport extreme 2GB is working fine on the same network at the same time that the macbook pro is internet is not working. Its kind of weird but has been happening consistently for months now. And this was happening even before I got the airport extreme (thinking that it will solve the problem) and I was using surfboard docsis3 modem/router (motorola).

Anyone have a similar problem and/or possible solutions?

thanks guys!

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), null

Try creating/logging I as another user. Do you have same problem?

Hold down the Option key while you click on the Wi-Fi Icon on the menuBar. You geta display similar to this old one:

User uploaded file

Extract a few values from it and post them in a reply

what do you get for PHY Mode and Channel?

what is RSSI, Signal, or Signal-to-noise?

what is Transmit Rate?

and very important, how many other networks do you see?

about how far away from the Router is this MacBook Pro?
