Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important correcting your Apple ID on your iPad is to you! Based on what you stated, it seems you may be experiencing an issue with an old or incorrect Apple ID. Here is what I suggest to resolve this.
1. Sign out of the incorrect Apple ID at Settings > iCloud. Restart your iPad as the shut down and start up process is important to keep the iOS software running properly:

2. Once your iPad is back on, then sign back into Settings > iCloud with the correct Apple ID. You also may want to check other services that use Apple ID and make sure those show the correct Apple ID as well, and this article helps with this process:
