    Hi there, jeanettefrommarshfield!

Thank you for reaching out via the Apple Support Communities. Your post indicates that you have a disabled iPad, and when you connect to iTunes you are prompted to enter the passcode on your iPad. I rely on my own iPad every day, and have run into a similar situation myself, so I'm happy to provide some help!

The article linked below will take you through what you can do to regain access to your iPad, step by step.

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled

Based on the information you provided, you will skip the first section ("Erase your device with iTunes") and use one of the two remaining options--"Erase your device with iCloud" or "Erase your device with recovery mode".

    Cheers!
